Reimagining Patient Pathways

Published by Mark Buchner on 17 October 2024.

QURIS Patient Companion delivers digital patient pathways that are cost-effective, simple to deploy and scalable. Recent NHS Scotland use has helped reduce CAMHS referrals by 62% and is now in wider NHS England pilot rollout across 12 Trusts.

Simpler, easier, more cost-effective pathways

The QURIS Patient Companion is helping to redefine how care is delivered in a cost-effective, no-nonsense, scalable digital platform to more easily and quickly deliver online patient pathways.

Tactuum’s Quris Patient Companion facilitates simple but effective engagement between care teams and patients through the use of digital screening and pathway tools that help reduce the challenge of lengthy wait times, reduce referrals and ultimately improve patient outcomes.

Empowering Patients

The QURIS Patient companion empowers your patients and ensures you’re always by their side – no matter where they are. Its patient-centred design enhances the overall healthcare experience. The Patient Companion product can support a variety of digital pathways to meet a range of customer needs, helping to:

  • Prioritise those most in need of urgent care
  • Reduce pressure on healthcare services like CAMHS
  • Signal warning signs in patient mental health
  • Reduce patient waiting times through clinical triage
  • Reduce clinical variation

QURIS Patient Companion is already delivering benefits in several innovative projects, such as the Psychology Adding Value Epilepsy Screening (PAVES), in one of the largest NHS health boards in Scotland.

Future Expansion

Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) recently published an assessment that concluded PAVES indicates a cost-effective intervention that not only reduces CAMHS referrals by 62% but also improves outcomes, can be deployed in days and is cost-effective to the organisation.

Following on from this successful deployment in NHS Lothian, options are now being looked at to roll PAVES out more widely across all health boards and replicate the success nationally. Furthermore, NHS England has recently funded a pilot with Tactuum to deploy our Patient Companion product to 7 Integrated Care Boards (ICB) to pilot a version of PAVES across 13 NHS trusts.

The QURIS Patient Companion is at the forefront of redefining healthcare delivery, ensuring that patient needs are met promptly and effectively. As we look to expand our successful initiatives for broader implementation, Tactuum remains committed to innovating and optimising care for all patients.
